Die Dyane war eher die Stiefschwester der Ente, sie wurde 1,4 Millionen mal gebaut - der 2CV dagegen rund 3,9 Millionen mal. Sie sollte 1967 die Ente nicht ablösen, sondern in der Produktionsbandbreite von Citroën die Lücke zwischen dem 2CV und dem Ami6 schließen. Optisch und auch technisch ist sie dennoch nur eine modernisierte Ente. Leider erlangte die Dyane nie den gleichen Beliebtheitsgrad wie ihre Vorgängerin und ihre Produktion endete sogar ganze 6 Jahre eher als die der Ente.
Eins der seltenen, offensichtlich noch im Alltag genutzten Exemplare begegnete mir im südfranzösischen Béziers auf einem Supermarktparkplatz.

The Dyane was rather the stepsister of the duck, it was built 1.4 million times - the 2CV however some 3.9 million times. It shouldn't replace the duck, but fill the gap in the Citroën production bandwidth between 2CV and Ami6. Visually and technically it is still only a modernized duck. Yet, the Dyane never reached the same popularity as its predecessor and even finished its production entirely six years before the duck.
I came across one of the rare examples, apparently still in everyday use, on a supermarket parking lot in Béziers, in southern France.
