Throw the duck into the duck...
When you think of ice hockey, you don't think of ducks first. But as the atmosphere on ice sometimes reminds of a rooster fight, a German team calls itself quite accurately "The Iserlohn Roosters". The Roosters not only play hockey very passionately and ambitiously, but organize time and again a very popular game called "Throw the duck into the duck". To take part, you buy plastic ducks (1€/piece) at the Young Roosters stand at the entrance of the ice skating rink and then, during the match break, you try to throw your ducks into a 2CV driving around the rink. At the end of the season, every monthly winner will take part in a drawing for a free weekend-drive in a new Citroën and a holiday weekend in Sauerland region. At the same time, the buy of the plastic ducks supports the Young Roosters' work financially. By the way, the 2CV is allocated by Iserlohn Citroën dealer Olsen, who is an active sponsor of the Iserlohn Roosters already since 2009 and provides the hockey club a whole vehicle fleet amongst others. Great cooperation, which is for sure a win-win situation on both sides!
